All B-series transmissions are interchangeable. you can use any B series transmission as long as it is on a B series engine.92-95 EG & Del Sol swaping a 88-91 JDM B16a, 92-93 B17a, 90-93 B18aTransmission: Thses engines come with japanese or american market cableclutch transmission including S1, J1,A1, Y1,YS1. To use them you willneed a conversion harness. Hasport has one Part number M96-CC. Or youcould use a Y21, Y80, S80, S4C Hydraulic Clutch Transmissions.
Mounts: A combination of stock civic and integra mounts can be used ifa Hydralic B series Transmission is used. You will need to chance thebracket under the timing belt and on the rear of the engine for ones ofthe appropriate year. Or you could use a Hasport mount kit part #EGB1with the cable converision harness if you wish to use a cabletransmission.
ECU: Using a OBD-O ECU is not a good idea. A PR3 from 92-93 Integra RSIor XSi, A p30 or modified P28 for a B16a, a P61 or modified P28 for aB17a, or a 94-95 PR4 for a b18a are acceptable.
Electrical Differences: CX and VX need to convert to a 4 wire o2sensor. Non Vtec models need Vtec Solenoid and Vtec Pressure. allmodels modify stock harness to fit. add a knock sensor except whenusing a chipped P28.
Axles: 90-93 integra axles, 94-up integra axles, 94-97 Del Sol Vtec axles, or 99-00

Special Considerations: The First gen B16a engines are cheap, best bangfor buck. 92-93 B18a's and GSR's have compatible electronics and makeeasy for a swap.

Special Considerations: US motors are smog legal as long as the motoris from the same year or later. Japanese type R motors are very potentand wiring is relatively easy with ecu adapter harness. The B Seriesengine swaps into these year vehicles are by far the easiest. there are
hondamounts available to bolt those engines directly in and the wiring is byfar the simplest. The majority of people opt to put in a B18C, B18B, or94-95 Del Sol B16a and those bolt in directly using Del Sol VtecMounts. the Del Sol mounts are the same as the 94-up Integra mountswith the exception of the A/C bracket.
92-95 EG and Del Sol with 94-2000 H22a, H23a Prelude and 96-2000 F22 AccordTransmission: All 92-up Prelude 5-speed Transmissions and 92-up Accord5 speed Transmissions. Transmissions with ATTS will require majorwiring modifications

Shift Linkage: These Transmissions use cables instead of linkage. TheShifter Mechanism and cables fron these vehicles may be used, 90-upAccord 5 spd or 92-up Prelude 5 spd cables and linkage. This willrequire some cutting and drilling.

Special Instructions: The mounting bracket on the right hand frame railwill need to be removed or it will interfere with the shifter assembly.A thin fan or pusher fan will have to be used with the radiator.Radiator Should be upgraded to a Del Sol Vtec Radiator for increasedcooling.
Special Considerations: Suspension and Brake upgrades is a good idea.

ECU: By far the easiest ecu to use in most situations is the p30 fromthe 96-97 Del sol Vtec. only a few modesl of the 99-00 civics need the99-00 Si ECU. For more info see Elctrical Differences below. ChippedP28 can be used if a OBDII to OBDI harness is used. May not be smoglegal in CA.

This Picture shows why GSR Shift Linkage will not work with a B SeriesSwap into a Del Sol. The Del Sol VTEC shift kinkage is the right shiftlinkage to use. thanks again to Azntagger for the picture and towe-todd for free hosting!
