What kind of new toy?

Hey guys, I cant make it too Gabes this weekend, but I was looking at the Speedworld site and they dont have a whole lot goin on in Jan. or Feb. as far as street drags. They do have a club day on February 21st, that would be my pick, its also the weekend after the rockabilly reunion here in Havasu ...

So Im driving down the highway last night when I notice this car with blue headlights weaving through traffic in my rearview mirror, he got out of traffic and came catching up pretty quick so I pick up the pace so he doesnt just blow by me, wanted to see what he was driving, and notice its a 06-08 vette and it sounds healthy, probably has exhaust, so I keep pace to see if he wants to play... As luck would have it the next light turns red, hes lookin at me and im looking at him wondering is he gonna go for it, hes revving slightly and slipping his clutch to inch forward, the light turns green I ease out then lay into it and nothing he just goes like normal, well next light turns red, now he knows im game. We stop, he throws me a good rev and is inching forward, im holding steady, the light turns he nails it I nail it we both get squirly and all I can hear is LS2 screaming in my window, I pedal it get traction lay back into it and jump out a car and pull to about 1.5 cars then shut down about 95 start slowing down and I get a flyby from the vette, catch up to give him the thumbs up, thanx for playing, and I get a rev and another flyby, the guy wouldnt even look over at the next red, just sat there looking the other way.. Oh well, I had fun and another old guy in Vette bites the dust....

Me, the wife, Dustin, and possibly one other from Phoenix.. Definitely 3 maybe 4. Everyone else backed out. Dustins going to race his Gto and Im gonna run the L, Im really hoping that Dustins friend shows, he has a turbod 03 Cobra thats supposed to be pretty nasty but we'll see.. Is everyone else driving back that night too, and how long does it take to get there?
