Step 1: Goto http://Bravenet.com

Step 2: Join Bravenet (top Right)

Step 3: confirm and login

Step 4: goto webtools tab
* click Blog
* and start creating with your Blog Maintenance Option
* I would start with LOOK AND FEEL

There you go pretty easy! Make sure you publish your changes when you are done with each session.

To view your webjournal when you are logged in just click the View Service TAB

OK to get to the more technical side of customizing your blogs....

First off you are going to want to Download MacroMedia Dreamweaver 8.

An easy way to get a nice look and feel to your site without spending hours on creating a template it to google free webtemplates. When you find one that you like download it and open it in dreamweaver. If it loads wierd into your dreamweaver you might have to transfer the css Style sheet which is another page located in your template download file.

here is my blog as an example http://streetnologerx7.bravehost.com

NOW for the technical part: You will now use a process called File Transfer Protocal (FTP)
This Tab is located on your bravenet login page.

*click Ftp tab
*create a login name and password
*now transfer your .index page, css style and anyother folders in the downloaded template folder.
*and thats it. Now everytime you make saved changes to your page you will have to use Ftp to publish your changes to the NET.

You will now notice your url: will now be http://yourname.Bravehost.com because you are hnow hosting your own page. If you have created a webjournal it will also be there but with your plain old bravenet template. lol

I prefer to host my site with Dreamweaver 8 because there are endless options and you site will look more professional. But, It is very difficult and is not for everyone so dont get frustrated it takes time.
